Design

The mid-sized Ford Bronco is a 4×4 SUV with an incredible nine trim levels. However, the Big Bend base model is filled with so many highly coveted standard features that you may not even look at any of the higher trim levels. For example, you can choose between a four-seater hardtop with two doors and a soft top four-door seating five people. For maximum thrills, the tops and doors can all be removed.

Standard comfort and convenience features abound, including heated side view mirrors plus a leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio and cruise controls. Advanced technology and safety features are also included.

Performance

The standard engine on the line’s lowest trim level is a 2.3-liter EcoBoost 4-cylinder. The engine will deliver 275 hp and 315 lb-ft of torque when you use regular fuel. However, you will get 300 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque using premium fuel. While a 7-speed manual transmission is standard on the base model, a 10-speed automatic transmission is also available. Hill start assist is standard, and the manual transmission models also feature standard hill descent control.

Your 2024 Ford Bronco has an innovative terrain management system that will help it adjust to wherever you drive it. You can shift into any of the four modes that best suit your current driving surfaces, even on the fly, including:

• Normal
• Mud/Ruts
• Sand
• Grass/Gravel/Snow

Technology

A seven-speaker audio system including AM/FM stereo and SiriusXM with 360L satellite radio is standard on the Ford Bronco’s base model. A 12-inch LCD swipe-capable capacitive touchscreen display with enhanced voice recognition anchors the infotainment system, which includes Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, FordPass Connect, and 911 Assist. An 8-inch color LCD instrument panel is also standard, as well as USB-A and USB-C smart charging ports in both the front and back rows.

Safety

Ford has included standard advanced safety features even in the Bronco’s lowest trim levels, including:

• Pre-Collision Assist with automatic Emergency Braking
• Post-Collision Braking
• Rear View Camera with backup Assist Grid Lines
• Trailer Sway Control
