The former can tow up to 5,000 pounds with 452 horsepower and 775 pound-feet of torque. The upgrade can accommodate up to 7,700 pounds with a boost to 580 hp.

This Ford F-150 comes with a 5’5″ bed that can haul up to 2,235 pounds, as well as a standard Class IV trailer hitch. Available options include utility tech like onboard scales and pro trailer backup assist. You can also add the Max Trailer Tow package for an electronic locking rear axle and trailer brake controller.

Interior Space and Features

The Ford Lightning’s crew cab seats up to five. You’ll have premium standard amenities like heated front seats and dual-zone automatic climate control, along with durable vinyl flooring and upholstery. Higher trims add carpeted floors, a sunroof, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a power-sliding rear window, and cloth or leather upholstery. Massaging front seats are even available at the top tier of the Lightning lineup.

Connectivity and Infotainment

The base Lightning model features a 12-inch infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. This truck also comes standard with eight household power outlets, built-in navigation, a digital instrument cluster, and a six-speaker sound system with satellite radio.

As you move up the lineup, you can get this truck with a 15.5-inch touchscreen, wireless charging, and an eight-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system. The Pro Power Onboard system boosts the output of your truck so you can use it to run household appliances in an outage.

Safety and Driver Assistance

You’ll have the latest driver assistance tech in the Lightning, such as standard rear parking sensors, a lane-keeping system, rear cross-traffic warning, blind-spot warning, and automatic emergency braking. Available upgrades include evasive steering assist, the BlueCruise semi-autonomous driving system, and adaptive cruise control, which helps you keep a safe following distance from other vehicles.
